Video Game Writer, contractor position
16 hours per week at NZD $50 per hour

We’re Balancing Monkey Games and we LOOOOOOOOVE Space Whales. We are a majority female studio, with a mixture of remote and in-office staff and a flexible working environment. Our first game, Before We Leave, won awards for best audio and best NZ game, and has sold nearly a quarter of a million copies. We’re now working on its sequel, Beyond These Stars, a city building game set on the back of an ancient Space Whale named Kewa. Read our Studio Handbook here.

We’re looking for a writer on contract to join our small team. Please be based in Dunedin, that would be lovely. 😉
